It appears that NetherRealm Studios has decided to exit the mobile gaming market. Several former employees of the studio wrote on social media that the mobile team has been disbanded.

According to information from Game Industry Layoffs, around 50 people lost their jobs due to the closure of the division.
NetherRealm Studios has not publicly announced any changes or layoffs. Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company, also has not commented on the matter.
NetherRealm Studios' mobile portfolio includes smartphone versions of games from brands such as Mortal Kombat, Injustice, and Batman: Arkham. It is currently unknown who will take over their development or whether support for these titles will continue.
