There are rumors in Chinese social networks that Blizzard Entertainment has chosen a publisher who will operate its games in China. If you believe them, then in April Zhejiang Century Huatong, a group of companies that publishes Final Fantasy XIV and Dungeons & Dragons Online in China, will become a new partner of the developer.
The network also claims that Blizzard has revised the terms of the partnership agreement. Now she is going to take not 50%, but 60% of the amount that the Chinese versions of the games earn.
Representatives of Zhejiang Century Huatong denied the rumors, saying that “this information is not true.” Blizzard itself has not commented on what is happening.
Zhejiang Century Huatong is not the only publisher predicted to be a Blizzard partner. Chinese insider Lao Dao (老刀舅舅) said that it will be a certain company from Shanghai. He soon deleted the post on Weibo, noting that he was asked not to interfere in the negotiation process.
