Finnish Rovio announced that it will soon remove the first Angry Birds from access again. On February 23, it will remove the game from Google Play. The game will remain in the App Store for now, but will be renamed Red’s First Flight.
In the announcement, Rovio wrote that she had studied the business indicators of Rovio Classics: Angry Birds and came to the conclusion that this game has a bad effect on her portfolio.
The company thanked gamers for their love for the project. She added that users who managed to download Rovio Classics: Angry Birds will still be able to play it.
Recall that the first Angry Birds was released in December 2009. Ten years later, Rovio removed the game from the stores, but in the spring of 2022 it was redesigned for the Unity engine and returned to Google Play and the App Store.
