The Main Radio Frequency Center controlled by Roskomnadzor wants gaming and streaming platforms to be recognized as organizers of information dissemination. In this case, they will have to collect and store all the messages of gamers, including from voice chats, and also, if necessary, share them with investigative authorities.
In addition, the GRCC proposed to establish the legal status of in-game currency, loot boxes, streaming services and donations.
A similar initiative was already launched by the GRCC in June last year. Then Roskomnadzor itself did not publicly support the proposal, but noted its importance and relevance.
