Discord, Snap and Meta, banned in Russia, also received a lawsuit.
The authors of the claim are the parents of the injured eleven—year-old girl. According to them, in 2020, several adult men contacted the girl in Roblox. They convinced me to switch to Discord, Snapchat and Instagram for communication (banned in Russia), while none of the platforms required parental consent when registering.
It is reported that the men forced the girl to drink alcohol and prescription drugs, as well as send explicit photos. Subsequently, the girl tried to commit suicide.
The plaintiffs are demanding compensation.
