The gaming platform Roblox continues to find itself at the center of legal disputes.
This time, lawsuits against Roblox were filed by the American law firm Anapol Weiss. The firm accused the platform of negligence, insufficient protection of young gamers from harassment, and enabling criminals. The lawyers acted on behalf of two children who recently encountered pedophiles on Roblox.
Representatives of Roblox stated in comments to the media that they do not turn a blind eye to such incidents but instead actively combat them.
“There is no place for criminal behavior in Roblox. We have robust safety measures that surpass those on many other online platforms,” Roblox emphasized.
Roblox has faced such complaints multiple times before. As the portal GamesBeat reports, the platform has received over 150 lawsuits in the United States alone to date. Specifically, even authorities from individual states have decided to sue for various reasons.
