Another trial between gaming companies is planned. Riot Games has filed a lawsuit against the Chinese giant NetEase in four countries at once: the UK, Germany, Brazil and Singapore.
The reason for the proceedings was the Hyper Front mobile game. According to Riot Games, it is largely copied from VALORANT. According to the company, NetEase borrowed many elements from its project, including weapon design, hero characteristics, map layouts and game modes.
The release of Hyper Front took place in the summer of 2022, two years after the release of VALORANT.
