Swedish holding company Embracer Group reported results for the latest fiscal year, which ended on March 31, 2026. We have selected the key figures from the document.

REANIMAL

  • During the year, the company earned 15.9 billion Swedish kronor (1.7 billion USD). Compared to the previous year, its net revenue decreased by 25%.
  • Revenue from mobile games saw the most significant decline, dropping 57% to 2.3 billion Swedish kronor (245 million USD).
  • Revenue from console and PC games decreased by 29%, amounting to 6.6 billion Swedish kronor (705 million USD). If only new releases are included in the statistics, they brought Embracer Group 893 million Swedish kronor (95 million USD) over the year—half as much as the previous year.
  • Nevertheless, Embracer Group is pleased with the success of specific games. For instance, they noted that the cooperative horror game REANIMAL sold over 1 million copies since its release in February 2026. Among previously released games, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II performed well, fully recouping its costs and generating revenue 3.2 times higher than the expenses within 14 months of its release.
  • The non-gaming entertainment and services segment was the only area within Embracer Group to show growth. Its revenue increased by 6% to 6.97 billion Swedish kronor (741 million USD).
  • Embracer Group closed the fiscal year with a net loss of 5.8 billion Swedish kronor (618 million USD). In comparison, the previous year it reported a profit of 5.96 billion Swedish kronor (634 million USD). The company explained that this time, it could not break even due to the sale of several assets.
