The British holding company TruFin released its financial report for the first six months of 2025. Among other things, it discussed the results of its subsidiary, PlayStack, best known for publishing the card hit Balatro.

▫️ PlayStack's net revenue continued to grow. From January to June 2025, the publisher earned 10.8 million pounds sterling (14.5 million dollars), which is 38.4% more than in the first half of 2024 and a massive 697.1% increase from the first half of 2023.

▫️ PlayStack's profit also increased—by 42.4% compared to 2024, totaling 6.4 million pounds sterling (8.7 million dollars).

▫️ By the end of the half-year, the average return on investment capital related to console game development (ROIDC) for PlayStack “significantly” exceeded 500%. If Balatro is excluded, this figure would be 300%.

▫️ Total sales of Balatro and Abiotic Factor from January to June 2025 exceeded 3 million copies. The total number of people who have purchased them over the entire period of operation is not specified.

▫️ Announced in June, Mortal Shell 2 set a record among PlayStack games for the speed of wishlist additions on Steam. It currently ranks 208th among the most anticipated upcoming games on the platform.

▫️ After the reporting period ended, PlayStack launched Abiotic Factor in full release and released Void/Breaker in early access. Both games performed well enough that PlayStack has already recouped its investments in them.

▫️ PlayStack plans to publish three more games by the end of the year.
