Indie developer and consultant Rami Ismail has posted a game pitch template in the public domain. It will help beginners avoid common mistakes during the presentation of projects to a publisher or investor.

As Ismail clarifies, his template is intended primarily for pitching a “business case”, and only then a game. Thanks to it, the developer will be able to convince the publisher / investor that their cooperation will be profitable.

The template is designed to create a 10-15 minute presentation. Ismail accompanied many of the slides in the document with explanations.

There are many examples of such presentations on the web. For example, bizdev SUPERHOT Team recently shared her pitch template. However, according to Ismail, his template is different from most: “Many of the available presentations are created by publishers in the interests of publishers to help them filter out projects faster. Others are simply overcomplicated and try to cram everything into one presentation. This template is optimized for developers working on their first or second game”

The template is located here.
