Proletariat employees failed to unite in a trade union. According to the developers, they were prevented by the studio’s CEO Seth Sivak.

According to activists from Proletariat, Sivak treated the plans to create a trade union as a personal insult. He allegedly held several meetings, after which the developers were forced to withdraw the application for organizing trade union elections.

A representative of Activision Blizzard, the parent company of Proletariat, in a comment for The Verge denied that Sivak exerted pressure on employees. He noted that the head of the studio wanted to protect the interests of employees and insisted on holding an anonymous vote.
