Dmitry Smith shared his opinion in an interview with the TASS news agency. He pointed out that the reason for mass shootings is often sought in video games, however, according to research, video games do not provoke violence.
“If we talk about the tragedy in Izhevsk, it was not the games that played a key role. I urge everyone not to look for simple solutions, but to figure out if a person who is registered takes a weapon from somewhere – he didn’t learn how to make it in the game, did he?”, — said Smith.
Earlier, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov said that it is necessary to “restore order” with video games.
