In a report to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Playtika revealed that by the end of March, its workforce will be reduced by approximately 15%. The exact number of people affected is not specified in the document. According to previous Playtika reports it is known that as of December 31, 2024, the company employed 3,500 people. The situation has likely changed since then, but it can still be assumed that the layoffs will impact hundreds of specialists.

Playtika expects the layoffs to cost between $12-15 million.

According to Playtika CEO Robert Antokol, the reason for the new layoffs is the company's desire to reassess its business strategy and reduce expenses.

“For many years, we adhered to a one-size-fits-all approach and applied similar resource allocation models to all games in our portfolio. The economic reality of the industry has changed. This approach no longer works. To maintain leadership, we must acknowledge that different studios play different roles in achieving our success,” Antokol wrote in a letter to employees.

The last reports of layoffs at Playtika were in November 2025. At that time, it became known that the company planned to cut 20% of its staff. Additionally, mass layoffs occurred in May and June.
