The venture company Play Ventures, which specializes in investments in gaming startups, has completed its third funding round. During this round, it raised $140 million.

The amount raised is a record for the company, bringing the total capital it manages to $450 million.

Play Ventures announced plans to invest the funds in:

  • studios creating free-to-play mobile games;
  • gamified mobile applications and services;
  • UGC platforms and gaming infrastructure;
  • AI-powered development tools;
  • game distribution channels.

Overall, the company plans to allocate these funds among 20–25 companies worldwide with varying stages of project readiness.

Part of the funds will be reserved for further support of the most promising startups in the company’s portfolio.
