On October 10, Paradox Interactive reported failed sales of the tactical game The Lamplighters League. After that, the network remembered that in July the company fired some of the employees of Harebrained Schemes, the studio that developed the title.

One of the former employees of Harebrained Schemes wrote on the ResetEra forum that Paradox Interactive dissolved about 80% of the studio. He did not say how many people it was. According to the Game Industry Layoffs portal, about 40 employees were fired from the studio in July.

Paradox Interactive, in a comment from PC Gamer, confirmed that it had carried out "significant" layoffs at Harebrained Schemes in the summer, but declined to give figures.
