Red Rover Interactive is a new studio opened by former employees of Funcom, Bohemia Interactive and other companies. They have already attracted the first investments and will now develop multiplayer survivalists.
The studio was headed by Fred Richardson, former technical director of Funcom. Together with him, the Red Rover Interactive team was joined by the former director of the Lockwood Publishing division in Newcastle, Joe Stevens, the former leading game designer of Bohemia Interactive, Marek Zilavy, and 14 other people.
Red Rover Interactive received $5 million from investors. The funding round was led by The Games Fund and Behind Ventures.
