People Can Fly reported on the first six months of 2026. For the Polish company, the period was marked by a decline in revenue and losses.

Gears of War: E-Day

  • In the report, People Can Fly stated that this time its semi-annual revenue amounted to PLN 91.3 million ($23.7 million). Compared to the previous year, the sum decreased by 20.8%.
  • The lion’s share of People Can Fly's revenue came from partners whom they assist with game development — PLN 85.4 million ($22.16 million). This is a 22.6% year-over-year decrease.
  • As a reminder, the company is currently involved in developing six third-party projects. Among them is Gears of War: E-Day, which will be released on October 6, a prototype of a game codenamed Project Delta for Sony (rumored to be a remake or remaster of Killzone), a game codenamed Project Florence for 2K Games, and three projects for KRAFTON.
  • People Can Fly's self-published games brought in PLN 5.2 million ($1.35 million, +22.5%) over six months, while the received royalties amounted to PLN 0.6 million ($157,000, -25.1%).
  • After the acquisition of Cooldown Games in April 2026, People Can Fly also began earning from publishing third-party games, but so far the amounts have been quite small. By the end of the half-year, revenue from such activities amounted to PLN 138,000 ($35,800).
  • Compared to last year, People Can Fly’s net loss was smaller, but the company could not completely avoid it. In total, for January-June 2026, it lost PLN 20.1 million ($5.22 million, -5.6%).
  • Also in the report, People Can Fly mentioned that at the end of June, its subsidiary outsourcing studio Game On began bankruptcy proceedings. As explained by the company, due to the challenging situation in the gaming market, the studio was unable to secure new contracts and consequently started losing money — matters were further complicated when the bank, faced with Game On's reduced liquidity, closed its credit line.
