Panic has summed up two years of operations for its digital store, Catalog, which features titles for the portable Playdate console. The company boasted that since March 2023, it has paid developers selling their games there a total of $1,043,186.85.

In April 2024, Panic reported payouts amounting to $544,200. Thus, over the last 12 months, developers of games for Playdate received a total of $498,900 from the company.

Here are a couple more figures from Panic’s announcement:

  • 262 games have been added to the Catalog library over two years;
  • total game sales in the Catalog amount to 289,503 copies.

Playdate officially launched in 2022, three years after its announcement. It is known that by February 2024, more than 70,000 units of the hand-crank console had been sold worldwide.
