Surgent Studios, developer of the action-platformer Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, has conducted layoffs. They have parted ways with "more than a dozen" employees.

In an official statement, Surgent Studios indicated that the gaming industry is going through tough times. As a result, like many other studios, they were forced to downsize. Surgent Studios promised to provide support to the affected employees.
Despite the mass layoffs, Surgent Studios will continue to develop Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and work on upcoming projects.
