Paradox Interactive is going to restructure. It has announced plans to close divisions in Umea and Malmo and consolidate the entire Swedish business in Stockholm.
“The decision to close the studios in Umea and Malmo was difficult. Although there are many highly qualified specialists working in both studios, we have come to the conclusion that the current decentralized structure with the development of our franchises simultaneously in several studios in Sweden is not the best option in the long term,” a representative of Paradox Interactive told the Game Developer portal.
According to the company, the closure of offices will affect 36 people.
Paradox Interactive stressed that the restructuring will take place only in Sweden. It will not affect the work of divisions in the United States and the rest of Europe.
