The South Korean publisher Nexon has announced a change of leadership. In March 2024, Owen Mahoney will cease to lead the company. By that time, it will be exactly ten years since he took the position of CEO.

Mahoney will remain at Nexon as an advisor to the new CEO, who will be Junghun Lee, the head of Nexon Korea.

Mahoney joined Nexon in 2010, first taking up the post of CFO. Under his leadership, the company conducted an IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and achieved stable revenue growth.

In the financial report for July-September 2023, Nexon reported that its revenue grew by a double-digit percentage for the sixth consecutive quarter. This time, the company earned 120.2 billion rubles ($794 million), which is 23% more compared to July-September 2022.
