This conclusion was reached by CrazyGames, a company owning the eponymous platform with web games.
CrazyGames analyzed 1.74 billion browser game sessions in the United States over the past year. As a result, they noticed that web game traffic on weekdays was 22% higher than on weekends. The highest traffic was on Thursday. According to CrazyGames, on this day, traffic is on average 27% higher compared to Sunday.
However, Americans spend the most time on web games on Fridays because they want to play before the weekend. Exactly how long their Friday sessions last wasn’t specified by CrazyGames, but they noted that the average playtime in the U.S. is 30 minutes.
CrazyGames also revealed which genres of web games are the most popular in the U.S. There's no surprise here. The first place goes to hyper-casual games, which account for 78.8% of the company's tracked playtime. The second place goes to puzzle games with a 20.6% share. The remaining genres share 0.5% of playtime.
