Nintendo has agreed to purchase Shiver Entertainment for an undisclosed amount. Shiver Entertainment is currently owned by Embracer Group.

All details and terms of the deal remain unknown. It is reported that after the acquisition, Shiver Entertainment will continue developing its own games and working on ports for various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.
Shiver Entertainment was founded in 2012 and specializes primarily in creating ports for consoles and PCs. For instance, it ported Hogwarts Legacy to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and brought Mortal Kombat 1 to the Nintendo Switch. It also developed Scribblenauts Showdown. Shiver Entertainment joined the Embracer Group in 2021, becoming one of the studios under Saber Interactive. The value of Shiver Entertainment at that time was also not publicly disclosed.
