Nexters has rebranded. It changed its name to GDEV and announced a change in the organizational structure — it officially became a holding company.

The Nexters Global brand now employs a team that is directly involved in the development of Hero Wars and a number of other mobile games. Together with Dragon Machines and Cubic Games, it became a subsidiary of GDEV.

As Andrey Fadeev, CEO of GDEV, explains, the holding will be responsible for the consolidation and development of its member studios. The studios themselves will now be able to focus on working on games. Such a change will optimize the business, increase efficiency, and at the same time “create a culture of transparency and cooperation within the organization.”

The top management of the former Nexters took the same positions in GDEV. The rebranding did not affect the rights of shareholders either.
