The South Korean publisher Netmarble has gone into a deep minus. In a recent financial report, the company reported that in 2022 it lost over $ 712 million, despite the fact that a year earlier it was able to make a net profit of $196.4 million.
As Netmarble explained, the increase in losses was due to the impairment of intangible assets. She did not explain which ones.
Netmarble’s annual revenue was $2.1 billion (+6.6%). The company earned 84% of the amount outside of South Korea.
Netmarble did not say which of its games earned the most in 2022. Instead, she listed the box office hits of the fourth quarter. These included MARVEL Contest of Champions, Jackpot World, Cash Frenzy, Lotsa Slots, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds.
