Mike Verdu, vice president of the Netflix gaming division, spoke about the “cloud” plans at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference.

He said that Netflix will not ask gamers to buy a subscription instead of a console, as the company intends to work on a “completely different business model.” Verdoux hopes that cloud gaming will become a natural way to play video games in the future.

Verdoux also commented on the closure of Google Stadia. In his opinion, Stadia was a successful service from a technical point of view, but it had problems with the business model.
