NetEase‘s gaming division is actively growing. The company announced the launch of a new foreign studio — PinCool.
The studio is located in Tokyo. She will focus primarily on the development of console games, but sometimes she will also make games for smartphones and arcade machines.
The director-representative and president of PinCool became a veteran of the gaming industry Ryutaro Ichimura, who at one time was the lead producer of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King and Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.
PinCool is the fourth studio that NetEase has opened outside of China in 2023. The company announced the foundation of the previous (Canadian Bad Brain Game Studios) just a week ago.
