NetEase's Eggy Party has launched a creators program aimed at increasing UGC (User-Generated Content) activity. The developers have taken the first step towards an open platform for creativity, where players can create content and earn from it.

The total fund for the program is $10 million.

Developers can apply through the game's official Discord server. Once accepted, they will gain access to all in-game items for map creation.

The funds are generated by attracting new players: for every user who registers through a creator's code and spends more than 10 minutes on a map, the creator earns 50 cents. If a player tops up their account with 180 gold beans or more, the income increases by $1.

Additionally, developers have the opportunity to create their own items on maps—up to three per map. These can also be monetized by selling to players. The platform will retain a 30% commission.

Currently, the program is available only to users in the USA to stimulate downloads of the game in a relatively new market for Eggy Party. However, it will expand in the future.

The global release of Eggy Party took place in February 2024. Prior to that, the game was available in mainland China, and in September 2023, it was released in several Southeast Asian countries.

As of March 2024, Eggy Party had over 500 million players.
