The company MTS is now launching its own gaming consoles. It unveiled a device powered by cloud gaming technology and supports the MTS Fog Play service.

An MTS representative told the newspaper "RBC" that the company began developing the console in the spring shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to explore the production of gaming consoles in the country. The cost of developing its console has not been disclosed by MTS.

The first batch of MTS consoles has already appeared on marketplaces. According to the company’s representative, it is released in a limited edition comprising "several thousand units."

Based on the description on OZON, the console runs on the Android 11 operating system. It uses an AMLogic S905Y4 processor and a G31 MP2 graphics chip, equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. It is noted that the console allows the installation of third-party applications by downloading their APKs.

Currently, several other consoles are being developed in Russia. Recently, State Duma Deputy Anton Gorelkin revealed that the Skolkovo Foundation, under the supervision of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, is creating a concept and business model for a console based on the "Elbrus" platform. Additionally, in May, it was announced that the company "ROSA" is also working on its device, aiming to create a console reminiscent of the Steam Deck.
