Swedish media company Modern Times Group (MTG) is getting bigger. She buys 70% of the shares of Snowprint Studios — the creators of the mobile Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus.

The amount of the transaction is not called. In a press release, MTG announced that it will be calculated based on the x1.8 multiplier of Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus revenue for 2023. According to AppMagic, in January-September 2023, the game earned $16.4 million. It can be assumed that 70% of the studio's shares will cost MTG at least $30 million.

MTG expects that the annual revenue of the entire Snowprint Studios will be $30-35 million. In 2025-2026, MTG plans to buy the remaining 30% of the studio's shares.

Snowprint Studios was opened in 2015 by former King Product Director Alexander Ekvall. In addition to Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, there are two more games in the studio's portfolio: Legend of Solgard and Rivengard.
