The Danish studio SYBO, famous for the Subway Surfers runner, now belongs to the Swiss Miniclip, whose majority owner, in turn, is the Chinese Tencent.

The deal became known last night. The parties do not share details. The amount is not even announced.

SYBO is a pioneer in the mobile gaming market. However, the company has remained a studio of one game. On the other hand, many dream of success comparable to Subway Surfers.

Since its release in 2012, the runner has collected more than 3 billion downloads. In 2019, the project was even called the most downloaded game of the decade.

Unlike many hits of the recent mobile past, Subway Surfers has not lost its relevance. The game is referred to as “forever green” projects. Its DAU for today is 30 million.

SYBO is confident that the deal with Miniclip will help a team of 120 people to successfully launch several new titles at once this year.
