Bloomberg writes about this with reference to sources close to the company. According to them, Meta* handed over “hundreds of pages” of documents to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) when it informed about the deal, while the regulator itself did not even warn about plans to sue.
The fact that the FTC decided to prevent Meta* from buying the developers of the Supernatural VR game became known at the end of July. A week later, Meta* announced that it agreed to stop the deal for a while.
