Andrew Bosworth, technical director of Meta*, wrote a post on the company’s blog about the work of the Reality Labs division.
According to Bosworth, it turned out to be more difficult for the company to realize its vision of the future, nevertheless, it continues to believe in the potential of the metaverse, AI and XR technologies. He added that now Reality Labs is actively investing not only in virtual, but also augmented reality. How much Meta* invests in AR in dollars, Bosworth did not specify.
In a separate statement to Axios, Bosworth praised the work he has done in Meta* John Carmack. But he did not comment on the criticism of the former technical director of Oculus to the company.
