Meta* is going to make VR headsets safer for children. She has released an update for Meta Quest with new parental control tools.
For example, now teenagers will not be able to buy and install unacceptable apps without their parents’ permission. If the child tries to do this, the parents will receive a notification and will be able to reject the operation.
In addition, parents will be able to view the child’s library of games and a list of his friends. They will also see how much time he spent behind the VR headset.
Meta* announced the appearance of parental control back in March.
*The company’s activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation.
