A new large holding company may appear on the Russian gaming market, sources of Kommersant report. It is going to be created by JSC “Multiplier Group”, which in December 2022 acquired the former Russian assets of MY.GAMES.
According to the newspaper, “Multiplier Group” intends to buy up small studios in partnership with VK Play. The company has already made three purchases on March 27.
They came under her control:
▪️developer of console and PC games LLC “Imbakod”;
▪️developer of mobile games LLC “Smartfonio”;
▪️turnkey code developer LLC “N-Jinn”.
As Kommersant notes, all three studios were founded in January 2023. Moreover, “N-Genie” belonged to Kirill Primakov, the owner of “Multiplier Group”.
Kommersant also pointed out that none of the newspaper’s sources knows who Primakov is. It is assumed that he may be the nominal owner of Multiplier Group, which is backed by “a large investor who does not want to advertise the connection with the Russian market.”
