Last week, Pony Ma, the co-founder and CEO of Tencent, addressed the employees with an appeal. He stated that he was dissatisfied with the work of almost all departments.

According to Bloomberg, Ma reproached employees for allowing themselves to “chill out on weekends,” while Tencent’s business is going through difficult times. He added that corruption is rampant in the holding, and urged to deal with it.

Speaking about the gaming division, Ma pointed out that it spends too much on attracting users to “hastily released” games. Instead, you should focus on developing high-quality projects and trying to get a license to publish in China.
