Team17 is undergoing restructuring, according to Eurogamer sources. As part of it, the company is going to lay off a significant part of its employees, among whom will be CEO Michael Pattison (Michael Pattison).
According to the publication, Team17 will dismiss almost all testers — about 50 people — and outsource their duties. Mostly novice specialists will suffer.
Layoffs will take place in other teams, but their scale is unknown. It should be noted that a total of 438 people worked in Team17 as of the end of June.
It is assumed that the restructuring will be completed in November 2023.
Team17 is cutting staff for the second time in 2023. The first wave of layoffs was in March. Then the company said in a Eurogamer comment that it had reduced a "small" number of employees.
