The staff at Supercell has decreased, reports MobileGamer, citing social media posts from former employees.

As noted by MobileGamer, since the end of 2025, the Finnish giant has downsized at least several key employees working in its North American studios. It is reported that some specialists are still finishing their last weeks. For instance, among those affected is Steve Desilets, a co-founder of one of Supercell's branches in the United States.
Desilets recently wrote on LinkedIn that Supercell decided to cancel the game his studio was developing and disband the project team. Whether this means Supercell will soon completely close the branch is unknown.
Supercell has not publicly commented on the situation. MobileGamer reached out to them for comment but has yet to receive a response.
Interestingly, over the weekend, it became known about massive layoffs at Metacore studio—Supercell's future subsidiary. As part of a restructuring, Metacore closed its offices in Germany and Sweden and laid off 159 employees in Finland, thus parting with the majority of its staff. Recall that Supercell announced plans to acquire the creators of Merge Mansion back in early May, but the deal has not been finalized yet.
