At the end of March, Nacon put up Spiders for sale — the studio known for GreedFall and Steelrising. However, according to the French portal Origami, no one showed interest in purchasing it.

According to Origami's sources, the closure of Spiders is now only a matter of time, a fact understood within the studio itself. Its employees have practically ceased working on games and have turned their attention to "updating resumes and self-education," while the socio-economic committee at Spiders has allowed developers to purchase the equipment they need.
It is reported that today, April 29, the trustee in charge of Spiders' bankruptcy case will file a court petition to liquidate the studio. Upon approval, Nacon will have 15 days to disband the team.
Nacon has not commented on the information regarding the potential closure of Spiders.
It should be noted that Nacon itself is currently experiencing difficult times. Two months ago, due to financial problems faced by its major shareholder Bigben Interactive, it filed for insolvency, and shortly after, a similar step was taken by four of its subsidiaries, including Spiders. It is possible that Nacon will provide more details about its future and the future of its subsidiary teams in its annual report in May.
