The gaming group "Lesta Games" is interested in the adventure action game "War of the Worlds: Siberia," according to sources from the newspaper "Kommersant." They report that the company is preparing to contact 1C Games Studios in the near future with an offer to purchase the game.
As "Kommersant" writes, formally, this will be a resumption of negotiations. According to the newspaper's sources, prior to the situation of coming under state control, "Lesta Games" had already been in contact with 1C Games Studios and had expressed interest in the game, but was then forced to put a possible deal on "pause."
It is reported that in addition to the title, "Lesta Games" wants to acquire the creative producer of 1C Games Studios, Albert Zhiltzov, and his team.
How much "Lesta Games" is allegedly offering for "War of the Worlds: Siberia" and Zhiltzov's team is unknown. The newspaper's sources estimate that the game's value could be $30 million, of which $10 million should have already been spent on development.
Neither "Lesta Games" nor 1C Games Studios commented on "Kommersant's" information. Separately, Zhiltzov himself told the newspaper that he currently does not plan to change his place of work.
