According to Kotaku, the management of Black Forest Games announced the upcoming layoffs at a meeting on January 24. The studio's creative directors and most, if not all, top managers are expected to retain their positions.
Black Forest Games opened in 2012 and five years later became part of THQ Nordic, a subsidiary of Embracer Group holding. He, we recall, has been regularly laying off his "daughters" since the middle of last year as part of the restructuring. By December 31, 2023, Embracer Group had laid off 954 people.
The studio is best known for the survival Fade To Silence and remakes of two parts of Destroy All Human! In August 2023, the developers announced that they had begun working on a dark role-playing action game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.
