Huawei has decided to modify the AppGallery app store. According to a number of media reports, the company is going to launch a system that will itself set an age rating for products.

According to the Chinese edition of GameLook, developers who want to place an application in the store will have to fill out a special questionnaire. They will have to note whether their application has violence, horror elements, obscene language, etc., as well as whether users can spend real money and whether the application collects confidential information. Based on this data, AppGallery will decide which age category the project belongs to — 3+, 7+, 12+, 16+ or 18+.

Note that, if desired, parents can specify in the AppGallery settings how old their child is and prohibit downloading unsuitable applications.
