This is reported by Kotaku, who received a copy of the letter for Electronic Arts (EA) employees. It is assumed that the reduction may affect about 100 support specialists, many of whom work with FIFA 22. Their tasks will be outsourced.
The letter says that the company has decided to “increase the efficiency, flexibility and scalability” of the support department. It will create 10 new jobs for which dismissed employees will be able to apply.
In a comment for Kotaku, EA confirmed that it wants to review the processes related to support in games. To do this, she will get rid of “some” roles in the company and create new ones. EA also stressed that the dismissals are not related to the termination of cooperation with FIFA.
