According to IXBT, the developers have become independent. The details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
It is worth recalling that in the summer, the newspaper "Kommersant" reported that the company "Lesta Games" showed interest in the creators of "War of the Worlds: Siberia." Allegedly, at the beginning of 2025, they intended to buy the team along with the game itself from 1C Games Studios for an undisclosed amount, but negotiations had to be paused due to "Lesta Games" coming under state control. It was expected that the company would resume discussions on the deal later.
The release of "War of the Worlds: Siberia" is scheduled for 2027. As of the end of 2025, the game had over 75,000 wishlists on Steam.
