Belka Games has decided to wind down its business in Belarus. Portal dev.by I found in the data of the unified state register of the country that at the end of December 2023, the company began the liquidation of Minsk LLC Belka Games.
The prerequisites for the closure of the Belarusian division of Belka Games arose three years ago. As dev writes.by, in 2021, it stopped hiring new people and offered willing employees to move to Poland, Lithuania or Montenegro, promising to help with relocation.
Also in September 2022, the media reported that Belka Games fired 50 people — the main layoffs took place in Belarus and Russia, but they also affected Lithuania. It was not specified how many people were fired in each particular unit.
According to dev.by, more than a hundred people worked in the Belarusian division of Belka Games.
Earlier, Belka Games left Russia. The company announced the closure of the Russian division in November 2022.
