Bandai Namco Online is a subsidiary studio of Bandai Namco Entertainment specializing in online games. The GameBiz portal has noticed that the studio is increasingly operating at a loss and, if the situation does not improve, it could soon face bankruptcy.

The studio has been reporting losses over the past two years. In the 2023 fiscal year (April 2022 - March 2023), it saw a deficit of 3.98 billion yen or approximately 24.8 million dollars. By the end of the next fiscal year, which concluded in March 2024, it incurred losses amounting to 8.2 billion yen (51.3 million dollars).
According to GameBiz, the losses at Bandai Namco Online may be related to rising development costs. Additionally, these losses may have been influenced by the shutdown of the shooter Gundam Evolution and the less-than-stellar performance of the multiplayer action RPG Blue Protocol.
