Gaming experts, together with lawyers, have begun working on a draft law on the regulation of games in Russia, Vedomosti reports, citing two sources. If it is accepted, then Russian developers will be able to count on at least three support measures.
Alexander Zhuravlev from the Association of Lawyers of Russia listed these measures during the SPIEF.
One of the possible measures is the adaptation of tax and other benefits for the gaming industry. For example, now not all games are included in the registry of domestic software for a number of reasons. Zhuravlev suggested giving developers the opportunity to include games that are at the MVP stage in it.
In addition, the authors of the bill want the authorities to simplify the issuance of grants and subsidies. They also believe that VK Play, MY.GAMES Store and other Russian app stores should temporarily freeze the commission for teams from Russia.
At the same time, the bill may propose “strict regulation of the gaming industry.” In particular, on issues related to copyright.
