The news that the new installment of Mafia sold this number of copies was shared by VG Insights in a LinkedIn post.

According to analysts, nearly half of the game's initial sales were for the PlayStation 5 version—48.67%. The Steam version was the second most popular, accounting for 37.86%. Meanwhile, the Xbox version of Mafia: The Old Country generated only 13.47% of the copies sold in the first five days.
VG Insights also noted that, on average, players spend 8.8 hours in Mafia: The Old Country.
Other metrics for Mafia: The Old Country were not shared in their post. However, the service's website shows that, to date, the game has earned $13.7 million solely on Steam.
It’s worth noting that the release of Mafia: The Old Country took place on August 7. A month prior, according to official data, the title had over 2.5 million wishlists, indicating that there is room for sales growth.
