The retail chain "M.Video-Eldorado" shared data on console sales in Russia for the first quarter of 2025. We have highlighted the key points from the report.
▫️Unit sales of consoles in the country from January to March 2025 totaled 380,000.
▫️Over the three months, Russians spent 6.7 billion rubles on console purchases. This is almost half of what was spent at the beginning of 2024.
▫️The most popular console remained the PlayStation, accounting for 67% of the market in rubles and 21% in units.
▫️For the first time, Steam Deck climbed to second place in revenue. Its share was 9%. It is not specified where it ranks in terms of units sold.
▫️Revenue share from Xbox sales decreased to 8%, allowing Microsoft's consoles to take third place in the revenue rankings. In units, Xbox has less than 5% of the market.
▫️Nintendo Switch accounted for 6% of revenue and 5% of the total number of consoles sold.
