Group of companies "M.Video-Eldorado" conducted a survey among readers of the publication "M.Click" playing on consoles. Most of the respondents said that their first console was Dendy, and they started playing as children.
"M.Video-Eldorado" did not say how many people answered her questions. She said only that the monthly audience of M.Click is 1.3 million unique readers.
▫️36% of the surveyed gamers have launched a game on a console for the first time before the age of 10. The same number of respondents started playing at the age of 10 to 18 years, 10% — from 29 to 33 years, 8% — from 18 to 23 years, 5% — from 24 to 28 years, and another 5% — from 34 to 40 years.
38% of gamers named their first console Dendy, 26% — Xbox, 24% - PlayStation, 5% — Sega.
Now 88% of gamers play on PlayStation consoles. Next in popularity are Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch and retro consoles.
73% of gamers usually play in the evening, 21% — in the afternoon.
Only 3% of respondents said they play less than half an hour a week. 32% of gamers answered that they spend 1-3 hours a week playing games, the same number of people play 3-6 hours a week. 27% of gamers play for more than six hours.
51% of gamers regularly buy new games. 23% follow specific franchises, and 9% follow specific developers.
The respondents' favorite genres are action (28%), adventure games (22%), RPG (21%), simulators (11%), strategy (8%) and puzzles (7%).
